Hello, hello, you lovely reader.
I think you're great and there's nothing sweeter
than the comments you leave and the nice things that you say
All those kind words sure brighten my day.
You don't smell like fish
and you aren't a poopy face
I'm so glad we all have blogs
and not a myspace.
So please keep on reading
unless your heart stops beating.
If that happens,
go to a doctor.
I guess all that I'm trying to say
to you my dear readers... is Happy Valentine's Day!
So. Best greeting ever?? I think so. Anyway, as you all probably know, I'm not the biggest fan of Valentine's Day, but I had to make some cookies for my 5th graders, and I thought I would share the recipe with you, because it is delicious and wonderful and super easy. Seriously, it's so easy that Captain Hook could do it.... with only his hook hand.
Total Time Required: 30 minutesIngredients:
1 3/4 c sugar
1/2 c milk
1/2 c butter
4 T unsweetened cocoa
1/2 c peanut butter (crunchy or creamy)
3 c quick cooking oats
1 tsp vanilla extract (or vanilla sugar if you're somewhere vanilla extract doesn't exist)
1/4 c shredded coconut (optional)
Step One:
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, milk, butter, and cocoa.
Step two:
Heat the mixture over medium to high heat, stirring constantly.
Step three:Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 1 1/2 minutes, remembering to stir constantly.

Happy valentines day alyx!!
You're a poet and you didn't know it!! hehehehe
Hope your V-Day is better than mine (oh wait, can't get worse than mine ; )) hehehe
Cookies look yummy!!
I have a special place in my lil heart for no bakes haha. When my friends weren't married we all lived together in a hut and we would make no baked. However we only had a round pizza pan that was nowhere big enough so we ended up making what resembled a huge cow pie and then we took are spoons and went at it. Extreeeeeemely healthy and good for the soul haha :) happy valentines day!
so delish. fabulous post, love. I hope you have a wonderful Valentines Day. if you get a sec, I'd love to hear what you think of my latest. xo

Have a good Valentine's day, sister! <3
Look at you, miss smartie pants!!!! I loved your poem! :o)
And these cookies are AWESOME! I have everything except coconut (gross!!), but I have old fashioned oats instead of the quick cooking type. I'm thinking that probably won't work...
best.teacher.ever.
and love the peanut butter inclusion, so MURRRICCA
You can even make it in the microwave. We made those and puppy chow in the dorm all the time, haha.
I made 3 minute microwave fudge last night and that's as fancy as I'm getting.
You're an awesome teacher, btw.
So easy Captain Hook could do it?? LOL where did THAT come from?
Those look awesome. Especially because there's no chance of burning down the kitchen.
The title of this post is great. Except that I need more chocolate every day. Not just the 14th.

My little French oven can be very temperamental (I did say it was French) so I'm loving No Bake cookies at the moment. Pinning this! :-)
