Hi.
Remember me? I used to blog every day. Then I got pregnant. Then I had a baby. Now you're lucky to hear from me more than once or twice a week.
I'm working on it. I'm not trying to be a witch with a capital B if I don't respond to your comments. Actually, I just went through and wiped my inbox. I just looked at the little thing up in the corner that said, "1 out of 495" and I freaked. I deleted almost EVERYTHING. So don't be hurt or offended, please. I just couldn't take the heat.
This all brings me to my next point. I am going to try to get back into the whole blogging groove. Elsie and I have (more or less) figured out a schedule, and I figured out that I really miss blogging. I needed that time away to figure out this new little human who hangs out with me all day. I needed the time to sort out my own emotions (still a work in progress - these hormones suck). Unfortunately, that did not leave much time (or motivation) to respond to emails.
Starting this week or next, though, I want to be better about blogging. Elsie and Mike will ALWAYS be my number one priority, but I'd like to give this blog more attention. I'd like to network a little bit more and I'd like to get to know YOU better.
So... The first ten people to comment on this post with the link to one blog that may be a little less well known that you think I'd enjoy will get a little spot on my sidebar fo' free. Just make sure you're not a "no-reply blogger" so that I can email you. Please and thanks.

You don't need to put me in your sidebar because I have pretty much stopped blogging, but I just wanted to say Hi! Totally understand, this whole pregnancy thing is hard work and I can't even imagine once the little bundle of joy arrives. Oh yea, and the hormones, they really do suck!
Good for you girl! And I TOTALLY understand the blogging thing. It's still hard for me sometimes cuz there's not much going on here hahahaha LURVE YOU!!

I think she's hilarious and I love her posts! Happy your coming back :)
Would it be sassy to point out at my own blog? It probably would, but whatever.
Also, don't feel bad about not blogging. Having life besides blog is the best thing you can do!
Lately, I've been digging on Aubrey of http://barcodealternative.com/. She's pretty rad.
I know you will love verbal vomit: http://www.verbal-vomit.com because she is freaking hilarious :)
I'm commenting to let you know that I TOTALLY get being out of the blogging grove. Obviously I have no tiny human that occupies my days like Elsie does yours, but I've been out of the habit of regularly blogging (writing) for almost a year now and I'm just now trying to get back in the habit. It's hard.
In the past couple months I've been pretty disgusted with the blogging community. I feel like it's all giveaways and c/o and sponsors and $$$$$. I tried my hand at that game last year and it burnt me out. I'm not interested in trying to keep up. Once in a while I don't mind a guest post or two, because I like new followers and I like new friends, but I just don't want to play the game anymore. PASS.
Anyway, I don't need an ad in your sidebar because I would have commented anyway, but one of my newer reads is Sammantha. She wrote a post that I really liked about why blogging sucks sometimes. I think Breenah sent it to me, so you've probably already seen it. Anyway.

I know exactly what you mean when it comes to adjusting your life to these new little ones. Really I think you've been doing a great job juggling blogging with everything else you have going on. But maybe that's because I've only been writing once a month so far. Hoping to find my own groove soon :)
You are a brave girl! Deleting all those unread emails would give me heart palpitations! I have to read all my emails, even if I don't respond, I still have to READ them! Of course, my inbox never really has more than 30, so maybe my perspective is different! ;o)
Lately I have been reading a lot of travel blogs, for obvious reasons. ;o) I loved reading about your life in Germany, and now I've got people to follow in Norway and France, and Australia! Pretty cool! Anyway, she's not a tiny blogger, but I really like Sara - http://www.sarainlepetitvillage.com
And not just because we share an awesome name! ;o)
Yay! Glad you're comin' back! I wish I could do that to my email... hahaha!
Oh, and for a blog you might like, I dig Anna's blog, it's a bunch of pretty photos and almost no reading, which is awesome for my crazy brain! http://www.annaezimmerman.com/
Aww, we've missed you as well but I feel like I'm still chugging along with you and Elsie through Instagram
If you wanna follow another Kansas blogger, http://annieonecancook.blogspot.com/ is SUPER sweet and she's just in the start of her second trimester.
Also, if you look at how often I've blogged over the last two years, you can tell when I've had sleep issues with Quinn, haha!
I'm glad you're back! Missed you! :)
I think we can all understand your situation! But can't wait to read more from you!
Good luck girl, you need a break!
It's a tough balance for sure! Good luck :)
Oh my gosh why didn't anyone tell me about the CRAZY emotions?!?! I'm still a HUGE mess and Henry is 7 weeks old. My doctor told me at my appointment Tuesday that it will get better and I almost burst into tears. Geez.
Just leaving a comment to say I'm right there with you. Only I haven't blogged in FOREVER. I need to do that.
I didn't get back into the blogging groove until Mia was 3-4 months so I'd say you are doing better than a lot of us :)
I'm going to pass along another blogging friend, even though I'm not in the top 10... Check out Heather =) http://thelife-unexpected.blogspot.com/
haha,
don't worry. i still love you though.
I've been neglecting my blog as well. I realized that I'm happier when I spend time on it. :x
I do hope that you'll be able to spend some more time on your blog! I'm a frequent reader, but I never really feel as though I have much to say.
I think that, if you get too busy for it, that it's okay. No worries. I used to receive emails asking me to update more often, but then I posted a blog about how I was blogging as often as I could without getting burnt out.
Sometimes the time away from ___ helps us appreciate ___ a little more.
http://evolvingrevolver.blogspot.com.au/ is one of my favourites.
I'm so happy that you are going to try and come back! I've missed see you around these parts :)
im a little sad im just now seeing this and not getting that sidebar fo' free swag... but i love ya anyways, so i'll still leave ya a comment ;)
i can only imagine how hard it is to find the time and energy to blog right now! it's been hard for me while pregnant (and not to ONLY talk about the baby growing inside of me... it kind of consumes you!)... but it's super important to me to keep up the blogging after baby as well!
just go easy on yourself and find out what works for you :)
I feel ya. It is important to hang on to the things that bring you joy. If blogging is one, keep it up! :)
I am totally in the same boat....I don't think I have blogged in over 2 weeks!! Ughhh. But I do miss it, A LOT. I just always find other things to do around the house with Connor naps.
